Ashton’s Photo Shoot

I recently had a photo session with Ashton to try a few new ideas. You might recognize her from some of my posts about the Sundancers.

I’ve acquired a few new pieces of studio gear and needed to get some practice in. Working with Ashton gave me the opportunity to fine-tune my model direction, try a new studio setup and tweak some of my workflow for the upcoming senior picture season. I wanted to keep it simple, with a few stools and chairs, but I ended up working in a couple of my guitars into the shoot as props.

Since Ashton is also a dancer, it was the perfect chance to practice for another project I have coming up. Some of it was hit or miss (more miss than I hoped), but now I know what to expect when the project rolls around. Can’t thank her enough for that!

As you can tell, Ashton is an amazing model, and it was so easy to work with her. I’m already excited about our next session!

Scott! Thank you. She IS amazing.
Maybe the big guy can lend me some from his collection. Anything in an American Fender Strat will do…I promise I’ll return them ASAP!
Say hi to Martha and L.A. for me.

Nice work Rich! Found you through my sister and your pictures of her daughter’s sports pictures. Glad to see you having fun with this endeavor and your client’s are blessed with your talent. Look forward to seeing more as I look through the rest of your gallery. Happy shooting!
